A durable MicroLite XP™ shell surrounds the insulation. This shell is wind-resistant, water-resistant, and breathable. It protects the down from condensation, wet gear, or damp nights under the stars.

The Sycamore uses a full-length two way #5 YKK zipper, plus secondary zipper which runs across the footbox. This allows the bag to fully open into a flat quilt or comforter—ideal for warmer nights or pairing with another bag.
