8mm diameter half rope with Duratec Dry treatment for multi-pitch climbing and mountaineering

The RUMBA 8mm half rope offers great versatility in multi-pitch climbing, mountaineering and ice climbing. It has a reinforced sheath for great durability, and also features Duratec Dry water repellent treatment for enhanced performance under any conditions. Excellent grip and great handling make for easier manipulation. 

 

FEATURES

 

Purpose   Multipurpose rope for multi-pitch climbing and mountaineering
  • Duratec Dry treatment for use in rock, mixed, snow, or ice environments: water repellent treatment makes the rope more resistant to water, dirt, and abrasion; good handling, grip, and other characteristics are retained longer in cold, wet conditions
  • Two ropes can be clipped individually or together, depending on terrain or rope drag management

  • Duratec Dry treatment extends the life of the rope
  • UltraSonic Finish: the core and sheath are bonded together at the rope ends by an UltraSonic process, which provides greater durability and helps avoid frayed ends
  • Our Duratec Dry rope treatment is free from intentionally added PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), to reduce the use of substances known to be harmful to health and the environment

 
Ease of Use  
  • Middle Mark: indicates the middle of the rope to facilitate maneuvers
  • EverFlex treatment: specific thermal treatment stabilizes core strands and improves consistency, providing excellent grip and consistent handling over time
  • ClimbReady Coil: special coil makes the rope ready to use, helps avoid initial uncoiling mistakes, and increases longevity
