Kids Ride Shotgun recommends the Shotgun seat for children 27–60 lb / 12–27 kg, approximately 2–5 years old. Age and weight are only part of determining readiness. Before riding, your child should be able to sit unaided, follow basic instructions, stay awake for the duration of the ride and comfortably reach the footpegs.
