When a blower pow cycle rolls in, bring the Storm Chaser to the lineup. Designed by surf shaper Chris Christenson, this ultra-wide, volume-shifted powder craft is made to glide through deep, low-angle terrain, and still rail turns on hardpack during low tides. Inspired by surfing’s classic fish outline, the Storm Chaser’s stubby shape and nimble swallowtail are made to surf the deepest waves of your winter.

Shape & Profile

Shape		Volume-Shifted Directional A directional shape with volume-shifted dimensions, creating a wider, shorter outline that moves more surface area to the nose for incredible float in powder, while keeping the board nimble and easy to maneuver. Riders can significantly downsize with a volume-shifted board without sacrificing float or stability.
Profile		Float CamRock Hybrid freeride profile for a great balance of powder and piste performance, featuring a long nose rocker and fully extended tail camber. This combination delivers incredible float in deep snow, while generating drive and grip in the tail to rail carves on piste.
Traction Tech		Low Traction Tech Subtle yet effective Low Traction Tech featuring three equal bumps (front binding, board center, back binding) for added edge grip and control.
Taper		High Tapered Our most accentuated taper, reserved for powder-focused shapes where float and maneuverability in deep snow are the priority. The wider nose plows through soft snow while the narrower tail sinks naturally. Any shape with more than 15mm of taper between the nose and tail.

High 3D Contour Base

Freeride-focused 3D Contour Base featuring 4-8mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 0-7mm of spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts just before the contact points.

How it Works

Riding Flat
When riding flat, the spoon bevel on the edges is not engaged, but it does help smoothly deflect snow away from the nose of the board.

Turn initiation
As you begin to make a turn, the spoon bevel helps you smoothly roll the board on to your edge with less friction and edge drag.

Mid turn
In the middle of a turn, camber and Traction Tech keep you locked on to your edge in the center of the board while the spoon bevel reduces the "plow effect" of your nose and tail edges.

Others		Factory Tuned All Jones snowboards come factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so they’re ready to shred straight out of the shop. Forever Flex Forever Flex stabilizes a snowboard’s flex and rocker profile for its lifetime. Boards are overbuilt, then ‘broken in’ using a process that mimics 20 days of riding and makes the flex more consistent from day one.
Core		Master Core Dual density wood core made out of responsibly harvested Paulownia and Poplar. 1:1 Paulownia to Poplar stringer ratio creates a lightweight core that’s poppy and durable.
Fibers		Biax Fiberglass Biaxial fiberglass laminate made with a dual-layer, dual-directional construction that delivers a forgiving yet snappy board feel with a mid-soft torsional flex and quick energy transfer.
Stringer		ampliTex Carbon / Flax Stringers Hybrid performance stringers made from carbon and naturally sourced flax fiber, developed with Swiss engineering firm Bcomp®.
Topsheet		Premium Topsheet Durable and scratch resistant premium topsheet engineered to endure rigorous daily use in extreme conditions.
Base		Sintered 8000 Base Premium sintered base material that’s ultra fast, highly wax absorbent, easy to repair and proven to be one of the most durable and long lasting base materials in the industry. Wend Natural Wax All Jones snowboards come factory waxed with WEND natural wax so they’re ready to shred straight out of the shop.
Resin		Bio Resin A bio-based epoxy made with 27% plant-based carbon that reduces CO₂ emissions by 33% compared to conventional petroleum-based epoxy. Sourced from plant-based industrial by-products, its unmatched bonding properties deliver industry leading durability and performance.
Edges		Recycled ABS Recycled ABS sidewalls with a rounded finish that are engineered to enhance durability by reducing topsheet chipping and impact damage. Recycled Edges Bombproof steel edges made from recycled German steel, engineered for maximum strength and long-lasting durability.
