Touring Binding | Multi-Norm Compatible | DIN 4-10
The Shift binding changed the alpine touring binding segment when it hit the scene a couple years ago. Frame bindings essentially became obsolete overnight thanks to the combined resort and alpine touring capabilities of the Shift. The Shift was met with high praise across the board and was quickly adopted by a lot of skiers, but one segment of skiers were somewhat left out, that being anyone with a DIN setting below 6. The original Shift, now the Shift 13, has a 6-13 DIN range that left out lighter weight skiers and anyone with a DIN setting below it. Now, thanks to popular demand, we get the Shift 10 with a 4-10 DIN range! That’s going to allow a whole bunch of new skiers to enjoy it, and both feature the same performance. The Multi Norm Compatibility means you can use the Shift with Alpine soles, GripWalk, Walk To Ride, and even DIN-compatible touring soles. Of course, to fully reap the benefits of the binding you should have a boot with touring capabilities and pin tech attachment points on the toe. That’s the whole point of the Shift, after all. You get the efficiency of a pin binding on the way up, then the safety, performance, and secure feel of a DIN certified alpine binding on the way down.
