Shimano Brakes
Hydraulic disc brakes provide greater stopping power than cable-actuated disc brakes. These brakes require either mineral oil or an automotive DOT fluid. Shimano brakes require Shimano Mineral Oil. Genuine Shimano Mineral Oil is the only fluid compatible with Shimano brakes. Make sure you change your fluid regularly to keep your brakes working optimally.
