Yosemite National Park is one of the world’s most loved national parks. The park lies in Central California on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada Range. The national park is best known for Yosemite Valley, with its world-class waterfalls and huge granite monoliths towering over the meadows along the Merced River. In the high country to the east, Toulumne Meadows boasts boulder-strewn rolling meadows along the Tuolumne River and the rugged, snow-capped peaks of the Sierras surrounding the landscape. More than 90% of Yosemite is roadless wilderness and home to more than 750 miles of trails.
